Clinical Services Internship

CLINICAL SERVICES INTERNSHIPS

Youth Crossroads, Inc. has provided opportunities for training new professionals for over 25 years. Throughout their time with the agency, all interns receive initial and on-going training, as well as regular supervision by experienced, licensed full-time staff. We provide a positive learning environment that allows students opportunities to grow and gain confidence in their abilities to impact youth and their families.  General hours for School Based Counseling are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Master’s of Arts Counseling or Master’s of Social Work Students:

If your interest is learning to counsel youth and their families, this is the internship for you. Youth Crossroads provides you with the opportunity to learn the process of counseling from handling intake calls and assessments, to individual, family and group counseling with medium to high risk youth.

The School Based Counseling (SBC) track allows selected interns to provide individual and group counseling with a focus on trauma and anger management in a school setting. In order to be in the SBC track, interns must be able to work during normal school hours.

The Clinical Internship provides training, individual and peer supervision, and a unique opportunity to get an extensive amount of experience that will prepare you for your professional career.
