Keeping Families Connected Program:
“I really enjoyed being part of the program and I feel most of the information was very useful and I will be able to use it with my family (at least I’ll try!). Thank you!"
Parent attendee
Keeping Families Connected (KFC) is about helping family members learn how to connect better with each other. We do this by having youth and parents attend group together where they set family goals to achieve and participate in activities to improve communication, decision-making and anger management skills.
“I like this group – hope to be closer
to my mom.”
13 year old youth attendee
By May, KFC will have seen 16 families complete the 11-week program. The program is held in both English and Spanish.
The program ends with a graduation celebration to acknowledge the accomplishment of each family in achieving their goal and completing the program.

It’s time to part, Farwell friends.
We have finished our path to better and
bigger things now having this experience has filled
a missing part of me.
I now know the right path.
I see now that we will go through ups and
downs but also through journeys . Going through this we
will figure out what makes us happy but
What also puts us in pain.
Some of us already know and been through pain,
But it shall not stop me from being that better
person and daughter. Hopefully it doesn’t stop you.
Our mother are our warriors of life and just
want the best for us.
I have seen this through my mother’s eyes and now
my own. Hopefully this has made you guys better
people and a wise one. I thank everyone for being here
because if nobody ever did I don’t think I would have
ever learned as much as I did.
Love,
Leticia Delgado
(former KFC youth)
